The special needs registry helps the City know who might need extra help during an emergency. Sign up for the special needs registry if you:
- Use life support systems, like oxygen, a respirator, a ventilator, dialysis, a pacemaker, or are insulin dependent
- Have trouble walking, moving around, or have a prosthesis
- Are blind, deaf, hard of hearing, or have trouble seeing
- Are on dialysis
- Have speech, developmental, or mental health disabilities
- Use service animals
The information collected here will not be available to the public. The information will be shared with local and state agencies for the purpose of emergency response and planning. If you have concerns with how this information is shared please email

If you can’t sign up on your own, a family member, caregiver, or friend can register for you. When your application has been reviewed by our team, you will receive a verification letter in the mail. You will be emailed, mailed, or called once a year to verify and update your information. If you do not respond to these updates after three attempts to reach you, your information will be made non-active.
